OMG isn't the tank already cycled if I used only the same water and substrate from the established tank? I also took some sponge material and put it where the carbon usually sits. The SG is the same as the big tank....I used the water from the big tank to fill up the small one. It's at 1.010 in both. The big tank is 65 Gallons and the hospital tank is 10 Gallons. All water tests come back fine except the Ph was a bit low. I increased it in both tanks just slightly to about 8.0.

Thanks, I'll do more water changes. I thought I was doing okay given that my water tests show almost perfect each week.

I assume that in suggesting melafix and pimafix, you think it's some sort of bacterial or fungal infection?

Hope this works....you can barely see it, but if you look at his lower fin you'll see a pinkish blob. I'll try to get another photo....he does not like the flash.

Sorry, yes...you're correct my SG is .010. Also, my nitrate reading was zero this week....I have had it register slightly in the past. I'm using a liquid testing kit.

Going to try to take photos again...
