Re: Advise on RO/DI and LR
Not sure what you meant so ill respond to both scenarios. ... hopefully this wasn't too confusing Not confusing - Perfect answer! Thanks! - Option one was what I was thinking of. Hubby set up a separate spigot for my WC/RODI system. It helps when you're married to a pipefitter! ;) Aquarist and pipe...

Re: Has anyone tried feeding their puffers Freeze Dried snai
A resounding 'nope' from my GSP. A couple of days and he's just kicked them around a bit. Having said that though, he's gone off the prawns he normally eats so I don't know if it's the snails that are the problem per se.

Advise on RO/DI and LR
Could I have water for my RO/DI coming in from my garden hose? What would I need to do to make this happen?
Also, I'm thinking of saving money buy running a FOWLR with no sump. Would this work out, do you think? Have any of you done it?

Put a couple in the tank. 12 hours later mine hasn't eaten them even though he's hungry. He's poking at them again now though.

Can anyone make a quick recommendation for a RO/DI
100l full marine, I do 30L bi-weekly water changes at the moment as no LR and 2ppm ammonia.
In the UK.
Very hard tap water.
Any ideas?
Hoping to upgrade to FOWLR soon but in the meanwhile I want to get used to using a RO/DI first as I don't want algae outbreaks due to bad source water.

Re: Do GSP's usually reach 6 inches?
The ones I see in my stores are distinctly different. Most of the time are those that have bigger and rounder spots. Sometimes they have a mix of your kind. More of a "camo" prints. At around 2inches. Cool! All the same fish. How can you be so certain as to shoot down his observation? Cou...

Re: New tank and reviewing cleaning schedule
I definitely want to - I'd like to get a ro/di unit first as I understand that will deal with a potential cause of problems with algae. Any tips on which one to get?
