I think I may try a SAP biotope and wait until I want to dedicate a very large tank for a solo fahaka. Thanks for the replies. I understand that the fahakas can pretty much pick off any tankmate as they will be at the top of the food chain.

Thanks fellow Washington Westerners, There is a place in Lakewood, Washington (Tacoma) called Aquarium Paradise that will order but sometimes their prices can be steep. There fahakas have been about $100. Although they do have a pretty good variety.

How hard is it to obtain SAP's in Western Washington state if anybody knows? I have a 125 gallon tall tank I'd like to try a pair or so in.

I'd like to try a biotope for a fahaka puffer fish one day in a large tank 180 gallon +. If anyone knows what fish are native to the fahaka puffers natural environment? Are the are any african cichlids that dwell in the fahakas homeland? I wonder if any of the mbuna type or rock dwelling species cou...
