My tank is not ready yet im getting ready to start cycling brackish water and wanted to know if i should get sg in tank I'm going to cycle the same as the fish stores tank which is what i will do then slowly lower sg because from what I've read fig8 needs 1.005/1.008 and fish store said their tanks ...

Fish store I'm going to purchase fig8 at says they keep them at sg of 1.012 I've read should be between 1.005/1.008 can i start them at 1.012 and slowly lower to proper sg or how should i go about getting sg at right lvl or just keep them at what they are in the store

My gsp for some reason spends alot of time in the corner of his tank swimming up and down up and down dunno if he sees his reflection and follows it or what some times he plays in the bubbles and wonders around his tank just wondered if anyone has any idea why he would swim up and down in the corner...

I have read that ppl recomend 2 750s or 3 550s so thats why i went with what i have i don't leave it on for very long plug it in for about a half hour a few times a day

I have one gsp in 55 gal tank with an 800 gph power head and my gsp doesn't seem to like it.it's nothing special or high tech i keep it up towards top of tank making waves but the current seems to bother him he stays at bottom of tank or hides in log decor

I used tetra safe start when i started the tank about 5 or 6 wks ago now i am ready to begin adding sw mix to achieve a light bw my gsp is slightly under 2 inches and he was in fw at fish store so i don't want to do too much too fast

What can i do to help with ammonia and everything else spiking during sw mix being added to My tank i use a mixture of distilled water and my tap water which is well water and is hard and alkalinity is up there but test strips say it's a safe level

Nitrates are staying between 20/40 nitrites are reading zero ammonia was up a little but did 20 percent water change ph is 7.8 and i mixed salt in bucket with power head for 24 hrs

The fish is not sleeping or resting and the salinity has only been raised around 1.001 my hydrometers lowest reading is 1.004 but the arm in the hydrometer has barely raised not even halfway between 1.000 and 1.004

Ive done 10 percent water changes weekly and test water almost daily and my feeding shedule is 2 days on 1 day off 3 days on 1 day off i feed them krill snails uncooked shrimp and ghost shrimp

What are power heads im assuming they are pumps what are some brands that affordable yet reliable

Is it ok to use in bw I'm not going directly to full marine

What about marine sand is it sufficient i like how it looks
