Leopard Puffer ate a devil coach beetle!!

hey everyone, just a quick question about a diet issue my Leopard puffer Boo might be facing. This evening, my niece found what appeared to be a black devil coach beetle on the floor and tossed it into my puffer tank as a "treat". Just wondering if biting/stinging beetles have ever created...

Furry orange stuff on GSP face

So, yesterday I noticed that my Green Spotted Puffer's lip and face area was a little more orange in color than normal, and I thought it's because he started eating freeze dried shrimps that are the same color. But today, I realized that his lips are actually puffed up and are getting sort of furry ...

In general, the tank that is better and more stabile will be healthier. That certainly seems to apply fully to GSPs. It does not necessarily apply equally to F-8s. I te...

Re: Puffers in Hard Water

JRC3, what KH am I going for, when I tested, that aspect wasn't as high as the hardness, but it was still up there. Where is the safest level for puffers? Thanks guys!

Puffers in Hard Water

Guys, I am new to keeping GSP and am now setting up and cycling my brackish tank for about two weeks before I get my fish. I tested my water this morning, the salinity is spot on, the pH is right where it needs to be, BUT my water hardness is off the charts! it's way to high even though I have sprin...
