im planning on getting a congo puffer sometime in the near future and would like some tips on them, i know the basic care, feeding and such, any other tips? and how are they as pets?

in doing reasurch i came accross sites that stated half strength salt water and such, and i was also planning on having bumble bee gobies in the tank as well, so i settled on 1.008 to 1.010, what i was doing was every now and then id fluctuate the salinity to better simulate the natural environment,...

so ive had my figure 8 puffer for almost 2 years now, and ive had a fight with a hunger strike, which i won and hes eating. ever since i got him, he had a small dark blotch on his side, and its grown a bit larger, ive tested and i cant find a reason for it, all my parameters are good my salinity is ...

he wasnt eating for a week before the move, i did have a heater malfunction so it might have been the rapid swing in temp and the move, though he still glass dances, even in the 20 long, ive been looking for more plants like java fern to put in, to create a more complex tank

tank is a 20 L, ammonia and nitrites are 0, nitrates are less than 10, ph is 7.8, salinity is 1.008, temp is 80 and he used to eat freeze dried krill, ghost shrimp, and home bred snails weekly

so my 1.5 year old figure 8 just decided to stop eating, ive tried all his favorite foods, even tried garlic extracts, he just doesnt seam to care, or notice theres food there, any advice?
