What if I were to meet you in Waco, would that change your mind? :D
It would definitely ease my mind knowing my GSP is going to a good home.

FS: 3" GSP Free to a good home - Austin, TX

I will be moving in a few months, and needs a new home for my GSP. He is about 3" and currently in a 37 gallon tank, in full marine conditions (1.025).

Please PM me if you are interested.

Re: GSP tried to commit suicide

Cover the gap straight away. It could be stress from you putting something new in his home I covered the gap as soon as I put him back in. I have now noticed some white spots on his back. I have tried to take a picture, I hope it is noticeable. Is this itch that I am seeing? He did rub up against s...

GSP tried to commit suicide

My GSP puffer jumped out of my tank today, luckily I got off work early today, so I was sitting only a feet feet away when it happened. On a normal day, it would not of ended so well. I have a glass top with a gap for the HOB skimmer and some cords for the power heads. I have read that puffers do ju...

I am going to try adding a leather coral this weekend, see if it gets eaten.

Re: weird habits

I already put one frag in, and used superglue gel to glue it to the rocks. Seems to be fine for now, my GSP hasn't noticed it. This first frag was a test, to see if it could be done. He seems to be a pretty relaxed gsp, he has left my starfish and hermit crabs alone, but ate the 3 turbo snails I had...

Re: weird habits

I am going to put some corals for the right corner, where he usually swims up and down the window. I'll check out the fake plants for now, since corals take a while to grow. I rearranged the live rock a few months ago and absolutely hated it. I couldn't get anything to stay in one place and everythi...

I hate to thread jack, but I don't want to create another thread for the same issue.

Here is my tank:

Re: weird habits

My GSP does the same thing...swimming up and down repeatedly. I've tried adding fake plants from him to hide behind, but that didn't do anything so I took them out.
I have no idea what he is doing either.

Re: Sick GSP, possible IP?

I have noticed that he is much hungrier then he has ever been. 2-3 weeks ago, before his belly was black, whenever I feed him shrimp he would hide behind the rocks. Now, I've noticed after I feed him he is still going crazy looking for food. Whenever he sees me, he will window surf at the side close...

Re: Sick GSP, possible IP?

My mistake, the sand is about 1", not 2"-3"
I have done frequent water changes all week and he seems to be doing better.
His black belly still comes and goes though. Any idea what this could be?

Re: Sick GSP, possible IP?

Small update: I just finished doing a 9 gallon water change. He seems to be doing better. His belly is still black, but when I walk up to the tank, he will greet me and his belly slowly turns white. I fed him some shrimp, and he ate it up really quick again. Like pufferpunk said, I think it is a wat...

Re: Sick GSP, possible IP?

I'll get some pictures when I get home today. In the past, after he eats he would swim up and down the glass and hide behind the live rock, but would never turn black. I'll do a 8-10 gallon water change tonight. I used live sand suggested by the LFS, I am not sure of the exact amount though. It is 2...

Re: Sick GSP, possible IP?

I fed him some shrimp, and he gobbled it up really quick, like normal. He was swimming around after he ate. I just did a 10-12 gallon water change 20 minutes ago and he was swimming around for a while. Now he doesn't look so good again. He is sticking to the top corner of the tank with a really dark...
