I know about the dental needs, but will they really torture the big snails? Also is a 29 enough for a pair

Once i saw the puffers in person it is really hard to believe that they are agressive as people say lol. Its not a chinese algae eater, its a simese algae eater

I went to the lfs today and they had a tank full of dp's all about less then .5 inches so they were really small. I have a 29 gallon heavily planted tank.
