About the penicillin....how did that work out for you?
Where did you get it? I would certainly try it.

Dogface eye problem
Hi guys I got this fish shipped to me two days ago and he showed up in VERY cold water...he looked like death when I put him in QT. After 24 hours he bounced back and seems to be making a recovery but he has a terrible eye problem. He has a yellow cloud in one eye that is like cataracts. It is becau...

Meet "Sluggo" and a question...
Hello everyone, I just wanted you to meet Sluggo. He's my little dogface. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v329/Snausages/P1010923-Copy.jpg I also had a question. On liveaquaria they have a "yellow-throat dogface puffer" Here he is: http://www.liveaquaria.com/diversden/ItemDisplay.cfm?ddi...

Re: Golden with Dogface?
He was 8" but it doesn't matter because someone else bought him today.
I don't think I would've wanted to try it anyway. Having one puffer kick another's butt isn't something I want to see.

Golden with Dogface?
Hey everyone...well I currently have a 100gal with a 4" dogface, Harlequin Tusk and a few damsels... I came across this golden puffer at saltwaterfish.com and am SO close to pulling the trigger on him: http://www.saltwaterfish.com/site_11_03/product_info.php?products_id=563&parent_category=...

Re: Two dogface puffs in same tank?
Well yes there is already a 55 gal tank underneath with baffles making a refugium/return/skimmer section. Octopus 200 is working well atm. I see your point though. Two puffs would be a rather large bioload when they get 12" apiece. I'm just fighting the "I've fallen in love with the puffer...

Two dogface puffs in same tank?
Hi guys, I searched for this answer but finally decided I should just ask. I have an awesome little dogface in QT now, a larger Harlequin Tusk in the 100...and I wanted to ask if one could keep two dogface puffs together in same tank. There is an awesome one at the LFS and I wanted to add him as wel...

It does actually. Next time I'll try to do that...hopefully there won't be one anytime soon though. I wouldn't know how to post video here. I have no ftp server if that's what I need. And this folks is why you don't catch puffers in nets. Can you imagine! Here he is what...not ten minutes la...

yes I was looking at him again and came to the conclusion that ich still exists or has been re-introduced and I'll have to treat again. No big, I know the routine well at this point. I just hope it's not too bad in two weeks when I get back and start the QT. PQ thanks again for your time. If it wasn...

And for the sake of showing you size of fish in relation to the eel. Here are some more pics. Right below the puffs mouth is the eel hole. The little white spec you see below the puffs mouth is the eel's white jaw. The puffer is about four inches in front(foreground) so it's a bit deceptive but not ...

PQ you rock. You have helped me greatly. Here are some pics that I just took to prove to you both that everyone is happy. Decide for yourself if they are healthy. I tried to take some gill pics of Carlito. He shows a bit of spots in a couple pics. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v329/Snausages/Puf...

While doing hypo - it is imperative to monitor the water parameters - especially pH. Buffer additions and water changes must be used to keep the pH stable (at least 8.0 or higher). Just because you don't see spots, doesn't mean that there isn't ich - parasites have 3 life stages and can hide out in...
