Re: Here i am
Tell your LFS that they screwed up and need to give you a 55 gallon at their cost so you can keep the 2 gsp's they sold you!

Coralife 29 gallon Biocube
So today I picked up another dedicated reef aquarium. A Coralife Biocube 29 gallon acrylic aquarium. I added just over 60 lbs of live sand and added Microbe-lift bacterial aquarium balancer and Nite-out II to start my cycle. Eventually I will add some cured real reef live rock. I also plan on removi...

Watch out for the green star polyps, they are very aggressive! But also very mesmerizing.

I know! I was curious to see if she ever decided to purchase an anenome or needed some assistance with anenome research.

Re: compatability with this?? Picture :)
Gwen, If you are serious about getting an anenome and clownfish, I would suggest either Mated pairs of Clark or Maroon clownfish and a bubble tip anenome. If they are not a mated pair buy a single. Both species will host the bubble tip which is probably the easiest anenome to take care of as long as...

Re: Check out new corals I got!
As a coral dip, treat in a small container. Usually I just use the water the newly purchased coral came with in a small Tupperware container. Shake Melafix well, add 20 ml or 4 tsp. per 1/2 gallon of reef/saltwater. I use 1 ml to treat a small bag of coral . Place coral in container and agitate for ...

Re: Check out new corals I got!
Did you dip the corals before you put them in your aquarium? I dip every piece of coral I buy. Either Melafix or Coral RX will work. You would be surprised by the types of critters living in either the frags or on the coral itself.

Re: New to the forum
I'm more worried about the hermit crabs killing the torchus snails than the puffer eating any of the inverts! He's pretty tolerant of all his companions.

Re: New to the forum
Today I picked up several invertabrates to help my self sustaining Eco system.
2 turbo snails, 3 torchus snails, 3 scarlet reef hermits, and a pencil urchin. I also stocked the tank with a firefish and a six line wrasse.

As you can see from the pics I've posted, I've purchased a pair of Ocellaris Clown fish, a Green Bubble tip Anenome, and a substantail lighting upgrade.
Everyone is getting a lot great and eating well.

Re: New to the forum
I got rid of the bubble wall after reading that it can cause Popeye, salt creep, and PH fluctuations. I added a maxi-jet 400 to increase the flow.

Re: New to the forum
Yeah, for some reason I get a "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached." Error every time I try to upload a photo. It is a full marine setup. Salinity is right at 1.02, I'm running a 500 gallon per hour Aqua Clear power filter, an Instant Ocean Seaclone 100 protein skimmer, I ha...
