I spent all day researching fish and looking up reveiws on filters/media and trying to decide what to stock in my tank when I reset it.

my puffer got curious and got sucked into mine and puffed up. all I saw was a giant white ball sticking out of my inlet. he stays from from it now though.

Anyone have any idea how to get it out? It is making an obnoxious grinding noise now, I've tried washing it and taking it apart, maybe I didn't clean it enough?

Puffers have a heavy bio load. thats why 3 4-5" puffers is a bad idea. plus they are messy eaters, so if you dont clean up after them thats extra load on your filters(or LR).

I;ve read that the dojo loaches can do just fine on there own. but like I said, the list right now is just possibilities. I'm going to keep looking and checking to see how they act and their own personal needs. I'm going to set this tank up to fit as many needs as I can.

I only plan on the 1 shark since they can grow to 5inches. Im planning the stocklist based on the gallons to inches for full grown. thats what the 5in max is, its the full grown recorded size.

As for what im going to try, this is a possible list of some candidates. This isn't what Im going to get, just a few choices that I've looked at. Going to do more indepth research on them later. yeah, her 2 box turtles get crickets and carrots. the red ear get a mix of feeder fish and nightcrawlers.

I apologize if I sounded rude about anything. We raise colonies of mice for her snakes, we currently have 3 sets of newborn mice. One from a female I decided to keep(Lulu) and take care of.

actually, could I cut up old media and throw it into the filters once I dechlorinate the tank?

would throwing in garbage fish help or ruin the cycle? I plan to start fresh when I move, as Im upping to newer filters but neither uses the same media that I use now. I'm going to a fluval c3 and a aquatop cf500 uv canister, instead of an old outdated fluval 304 and aqua tech 30-60
