Ammonia is in safe range. less than 0.02ppm.
Anyway, I've been treating him with Melafix and he seems getting better. Still inactive but at least he now is moving all the fins. Thanks for the help everyone!

Re: I think my GSP is sick... need help :|
When you say you cleaned your filter (Fluval 205), how did you do that? I'm hoping you didn't wipe out all of your bacteria, which would certainly cause some problems. The only thing I replaced were the foam blocks. I kept the carbon and bio media that were already in the filter... I will change th...

Water parameters: Nitrate - 10 Nitrite - 0 pH - 7.8 Salinity - 1.005 Tank is 20g and the GSP is the only fish in there. I change water like.. every 10 days or so. I try to do it every week but miss it sometimes. I feed him daily but skipped today. Aquarium has been set up for over a year and never h...

I think my GSP is sick... need help :|
I have an about 1.5'' long GSP in a 20g tank. I recently performed a 5g water change and cleanred filter (fluval 205) and... noticed something wrong with him last night. His sides got black and he is hardly moving his left fin (the one by the gill)... Also it seems that his eyes are getting cloudy a...

My GSP is acting weird w/ curled tail! :(
I have a GSP in 30g tank which changed about 20% of water just 2 days ago. He has been doing fine but I just noticed he curled his tail to his body and just "floating" around for like... 5 minutes. I don't think he was sleeping either. (He always sleeps at a same spot) I have had him for 2...

Is there any snail that can get along with a GSP?
I am wondering if there is any snail that can live with a GSP.
I have 1 gsp in a 30g tank and it seems... empty heh.
Would the GSP try to poke and eat all the snail alive? (even the big ones???)

My GSP lost a tooth :(
Awkward enough, I found my GSP missing a front tooth (left one). :( He is about 1.25'' long and I've had him for a little less than a year now. His teeth were getting too long for him but I never expected seeing a missing tooth! He is still small and it is hard to tell if it is broken or completely ...

You could consider doing changes weekly, and not waiting longer than that. That would likely keep algae from popping up. What do you have in this tank? You could do a larger water change than 10%. 1 baby GSP and thats it. Other than that, bunch of plastic plants and 3 rocks. and yeah, I think I'm g...

How often and how much water do you change? How long has the tank been setup? The brown spots are diabolical diatoms. Nothing to worry about. Completely harmless, just kind of ugly. You can clean them off, but if you leave them be they will eventually (usually) exhaust themselves and disappear. I'm...

Some red stuff in tank!!! Help me :(
Two days ago I noticed there are some red/brown stuff on my plastic plants and tank glass. I tried to figure out what they are but no luck. Here are some pictures http://enpix.net/TEMP/redtank1.jpg http://enpix.net/TEMP/redtank2.jpg http://enpix.net/TEMP/redtank3.jpg Are these some sort of fungus? A...

Discoloration? Color shifting?
I've had my baby GSP(named Squish) for about a month and I just noticed something about him. He is still about 1.25'' long but grew quiet a bit since the day I got him. What I'm getting worried is that it seems his skin is getting darker. It used to be bright yellow-green but now it is more like bro...
