Re: keeping pond snails???
I am currently doing this myself. Have a 10 gallon planted aquarium with ramshorn and bladder snails. they do reproduce at alarming rates. By 2 weeks the bottom of the tank was covered in hundreds of tiny snails. started out with about 20 adult snails. most of them died within the first week. *dont ...

Re: Dogs
I have a 4 year old PitBull named Dakota. She is also an amazing dog. Totally tolerant of anything that happens. With one exception, she doesn't like it when strangers walk in the house. But i am totally fine with that. If I introduce you to her, the worst thing that will happen is you will get a bi...

Re: gsp feeding
since mine are small I feed them almost everyday. When they get bigger you have to ease off a bit. >2" every other day >4 twice a week. I believe. Mix it up to avoid constipation. I give mine Bloodworms, Snails, mysis and ghost shrimp, and whatever treat i got them every couple weeks. Mine is p...

Re: what snails can gsp eat?
From what I understand, as long as they are aquatic snails and small enough, GSPs will eat them. I feed mine ramshorn and bladder snails because their shells are softer than MTS so they don't chip a tooth.

Re: gsp info needed
While they will survive in brackish conditions their entire life, it does shorten their lifespan and stunt their growth somewhat. I don't see why you would want to keep them in brackish their entire life, but if you must go as high as you can. 90 liter is a little small, most here will recommend at ...

Re: New to The forum
I have mostly dead rock in there with 4 pounds of LR to seed it. Liverock around here is outrageously expensive. Like $15.00 a pound. So instead of spending my life savings on LR I thought it best to just seed it. :-D I cant wait till they get bigger. :) I felt so bad for the GSPs at wallmart. I wan...

Re: Puffers hide their color when hunting?
You know, i notice the same thing with mine when i feed them snails. They will go around with their spots faded slightly looking at snails. I haven't notice a dark spot on their belly but i will look next time. I think its just part of their behavior. I know also when they sleep they loose their spo...

Re: New to The forum
Thanks!! I Plan on having it all built in 3 weeks. (Right now the 90 is sitting on a re enforced work bench) I figure that should also give it enough time to cycle, I plan on siphoning out the water to move it to the stand then siphoning it back in. (alot of work but i know once i get my stand built...

I do plan on getting a much larger tank in the future but right now I am a little constrained financially. They are sill 1 inch, m...
