No one is fanning the eggs so I assume they were not fertilized. And the female has ate a couple while I was watching

red eye red tail laid eggs
so i now have eggs!!! got home from work and they must of spawned over night or before i got home!!! the eggs are just is the sand at the front of the tank!!! the weird thing is i just treated for ich! i had endlers that brought it into the tank and i treated, raised the temp and added a little aqua...

Oh the male will puff his keel all the time that's a daily occurrence, just showing his dominance over the glass of the tank hahaha but to actually puff by inflating with water that's a completely different thing that's I hadn't seen before and was shocked ans stunned!

I don't think it was me cuz he was already puffed before I was anywhere near the tank! And in 6 months this is the first time I have seem one of them do it! They seem pretty happy and even when I'm messing with there tank they don't even loss any color or hid so I think they are really well adjusted...

alright so... 1)water parameters - pH 7.6, Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrates 15-20 (all in ppm) 2) Tank size and a list of ALL inhabitants. 26 gallon bowfront, male and female red tail red eyes, and 2 lone ghost shrimp... and maybe an excaped pest snail.... 3) Feeding, water change schedule and a list ...

Oh I do QT! These shrimp somehow escaped my turtle forever so I have them I little bit better life in the well planted puffer tank

Thank you flutter! I wanted to the best environment I could and make sure they were comfortable! Other than yesterday they have not stopped exploring! Yesterday they ate way too much and were both sulking! I feed them there first time on live brine shrimp ( not a lot of places around here will sell ...
