Live Rock, Live Sand...No Fish. What now?
I am sorry to say that my GSP died yesterday. Thanks for all the help you guys here at pufferforum have given me for the last year with my GSP. I think its safe to say that my 10 gallon nano marine tank was too small of my GSP. I would like to know what I can do with this 10 gallon tank? I have not ...

Re: My GSP is skinny and drifting.
I do a weekly 3 gallon water change. I have two filters running one aqua tech 10 gallon filter and a aqueon 15 gallon filter. Both filters are just the carbon pads. I forgot to mention that I began to wash my carbon pads 3 months ago and maybe thats why I have lost significant bacteria. I thought I ...

My GSP is skinny and drifting.
I need you guys to help me now more than ever before. I know that my 10 gallon tank is too small. However I need to find out whats with my GSP. It all started when I began to feed him intermittently. I would feed him as little as once a week or every 4 days! I did this for about 2 months or so. In t...

Re: Hermit crabs poop too much! How to clean hermit crab poo
I noticed a black granular about the size of an inch. It's almost as big as the hermit crab. I'm wondering if this poop or molted skin from the crab?

Re: Hermit crabs poop too much! How to clean hermit crab poo
The reason I got the two hermit crabs was to reduce my algae build up. I just don't see the point of keeping them if they are going to up the nitrates.

Hermit crabs poop too much! How to clean hermit crab poop.
I had no idea that hermit crabs poop so much. How do I vacuum all that poop up? I thought when you have a marine tank you should not vacuum the sand bed? I never vacuum my sand bed. Should I be vacuuming it?

Keeping water temps warm in winter
I dont know if this topic has been posted yet. Its getting down to 20 degrees in the midwest and I am keeping an eye on temperatures. Do you guys have any advise to keep tank temperatures stable and efficient during the winter months? What about contingency plans for a possible electrical outage or ...

Red leg hermit crab attacking my GSP?
I noticed that the only other tank mate that lives with my GSP is a red leg hermit crab. I originally got the hermit crab to help with the algae clean up and for my GSP to eventually eat the hermit crab. While the crab has helped keep the algae down, my GSP has not tried to attack the crab or take a...

Starting Marine tank for GSP: I want to transition.
I think you guys might notice me from other posts. I had a 10 gallon tank with a single freshwater GSP inside. I know the 10 gallon is too small and I am still trying to get a bigger one. I was told in the mean time to get my GSP to a marine environment and thats what I have begun lately. So in addi...

Re: Lathargic GSP hanging out by filter and lying down all day.
Well I have to work on getting the bigger tank. I live in an apartment and I didnt get around to it before. I know you guys warned me about it before. If the case is that I cant get a bigger tank, then I dont want to give him up to a local pet store. I got him at walmart and I feel that giving him t...
