i did a full fishless cycle of my tank just using ammonia, it took about 3 weeks but i have perfect tank conditions now, just add enough ammonia to get to 5 pppm initially, then keep adding that amount of ammonia until the nitrites start to appear, cut back the ammonia by half and keep adding until ...

moving cylon puffer to full marine
new to posting on forum but have been watching for some time, great info and very useful site. wondered if anyone could offer advice on when to move a Ceylon puffer up to full marine conditions.
