Re: Water quality
Ok finally after 2 weeks of tank trouble with the 20 it is finally done recycling. I went out and bought lots of plants and new gravel for it. Got it all planted and got the puffer in it and they look a lot happier. Nitrites and Ammonia are 0. PH 7.6 and Nitrate 5 I expect the nitrate to rise a litt...

Re: Water quality
I've had the tank running strong for over 3 months. Everything was still wet including the filter when I got it. They nibble on the bloodworms and I picked up some blackworms today but it seems they ignored them. They will on occasion eat a shrimp. The 20 gallon I forgot to add the amquel to it on a...

I've lived down here almost my whole life and don't think I've ever been to the shell factory. Shoot I hardly ever go to the beach either lol.

Re: Hello from Florida
I started treating last night. I'm going to pull out the shrimp and dose the tank as well as their food. I've been running errands all day and am just now getting home.

Re: Plantedpride and joy lol
I was using water out of it to jumpstart a few smaller tanks and this was right before I did the water change lol, I also used filter squeezings. I can't fill it to the very top cause then there isn't enough water agitation and my fish start sucking air and turning pale...learned that the hard way a...

Re: Water quality
I think my tap water went quack on me as it crashed all my tanks one by one and gave my angelfish nitrates burns and now they have some odd parasite. I'm going to go out and buy some RO water to change the puffers tank

Re: Hello from Florida
Fight to the death? So not what I wanted to hear :( Right now all my tanks are a mess. I have a 20 long for them that I am having to treat with meds for a month long as it crashed and the fish that were in it keeping the cycle got sick. So I'm not going to risk getting the puffers sick so it's getti...

Re: Water quality
I have crushed coral mixed in with the gravel. Thought I had enough in the tank already but I guess most of it has disintegrated. My tap KH is extremely low and so I have to have crushed coral in all my tanks or they super crash. Although normally by now the coral should have raised the PH to 7.6-7....

I am having all sorts of water trouble in my tanks. 3 of the tanks I'm not worried about as I have them under treatment. I got some mysterious illness. Anyways my big tanks crashed and then like a week later my shrimp tank then my puffer tank crashed. So I put the puffers and shrimp together to try ...
