I keep live plants with my fahaka. He used to bite them but now he just leaves them alone. I have a picture of an old tank setup in my user gallery. I took the cave out though because he never used it.

Today I got a hairy puffer for $50. I have named him WOLF! So far he's doing good and is pretty active. After I bought him, as I was walking out to my car he bit a hole in the bag. I had a cave in my fahaka tank, but took it out because it took up too much room and he didn't use it. He never went in there once. Although he usually sleeps under a driftwood piece I have.

Mines really active, always swimming around whenever I'm in the room.

I doubt my fahaka would allow any tankmates regardless of the size of the tank. I have trouble putting new decorations in his tank without him biting them. But you could get a fahaka that would allow tankmates.

For my fahaka if I try putting something new in the tank or moving something around he bites it.

Mine swims around then sleeps through out the whole day.

What would be a good price for a T. abei?

my fahaka is even more vicious then that that other fahaka. Mine tears the crayfish apart the second it is in the tank.
