Re: Parasites?

It also seems that when a gsp is searched for on the internet, the only option is the dwarf green spotted puffer. Being in a puffer forum, I would figure that is common knowledge, and did not know why I was getting ridiculed for my 4 inches of fish in a 10g, especially when the dwarf puffers that i ...

Re: Parasites?

I assumed that when I mentioned gsp's, then dwarf would be assumed. I did not know that puffers other than dwarfs could even survive in fw

Re: Parasites?

Nothing else in the tank has changed, except for the addition of a diyc02 injector. We thought that this puffer was getting taunted by the other, but I always make sure they both got to eat, and they seem to leave each other alone. @Seven, you do realize, that my fish are dwarf puffers? I have never...

Re: Parasites?

I have researched, and found many sites that say I can have gsp in my 10g. I am here to research, not to be judged or ridiculed. I am not trying to defensive here, but I really just wanted advice on what could possibly be wrong with my fish. Believe me, I have read and read and read about my puffers...

Re: Parasites?

He may be too far gone but IPs are contagious, so you need to treat them both. Soak their food in the meds of an hour or 2. What do you mean by "I know that I will be losing my pleco when I change to brackish"? There are no BW algae-eaters. this may post twice, my internet froze while pos...

Re: Parasites?

I know that I will be losing my pleco when I change to brackish. I did not state that I was going to do that. I am researching brackish algae eaters. My gsp's are 1 inch, and I do not know how old they are. They were not born here. Also, how do I treat their food for parasites, if my little guy refu...

There are 2 fish in this tank, plus a pleco and maybe some snails, but I haven't seen any trace of the trumpet in about a week, so I am not sure.

Parasites?

Okay, so a few days ago I thought that one of my GSP's looked a bit thin. However, comparing it to my other GSP, anyone could look thin. My smaller GSP has not eaten in 3 days, and does not even seem interested in food. I have tried several different foods, such as baby brine shrimp, frozen tubifex,...

tank mates?

I currently have female green spotted puffers in a 10 gallon heavily planted tank. I have had other fish in this tank before, 2 golden long-finned danios, and the puffers left them alone. In fact, the danios pecked at my puffers, which is why they are no longer in that tank. I was wondering what oth...

Puffer ich

Hi there. Newbie puffer owner here. I have researched and researched these wonderful creatures, and have recently found out they can still get sick, even if you think you have done everything perfectly. So, here I am, ready to learn more.
