Just thought you all might enjoy this.... My Abei 'Gabriella'....

Shes an abei puffer, the tank is about 5 months old now, I try to keep it very clean because shes incredibly messy and greedy - its like looking after a baby more than a fish, shes so attention seeking (but my precious girl too - Im sure you can sympathise with that) so I try to hoover every time sh...

Theyre just tiny white strands.... maybe nematodes? they are not wide in any way, they are always very very thin, a few longer than others....

How do I differentiate between nemotodes and planaria? The thing is shes only fed 1 or 2 tiny (frozen) fish a week, and is cleaned out the day afterwards everytime.... I dont think it can be? However I put sand in because I thought I would get a congo/arrowhead and it has been a bloody nightmare, lo...

Im cleaning out Gabriella, my abei puffer, and have noticed what look like tiny white/neon green little amoeba worms on the front of the glass.... some are stilll... the larger ones are slowly wiggling.... she appears to be fine.... Thanks guys, I have settled on the name Gabriella for her, shes a beautiful elegant young lady who appears totally unable to behave and eat like a lady. Her danio babies are now, well, being incubated in her very round belly. Shes laying on the sand like shes gonna pop. Greedy girl. Im glad I stuck ...

Ahhh dont mention the congo, it was £45 and tiny, I just couldnt justify it, I dunno, I thought Id see what was there on the day, but yeah it was red and cute and tiny.
