I used white spot cure by wunder. Yes changed carbon. I have now percormed a 50-70% changed and treated him with salt also raised temperature. He is currently in a large net as he was getting scared and running into decor. Still breathing but belly up just did a big white stringy poo.

Re: DP Tank and Personality (Shy, Bored, or Both?)

Dont worry too much about ph as long as it is stable your fish will be happy i only raised it as you said you were doing daily water changes. Add stability as well as prime. I would suggest 30-40% weekly changes, as your plants do soak up some of the nitrates. construction paper is good I tend to sp...

Re: Creeping grey .... fuzz of doom

Hey good to see another New Zealander. I wouldn't worry about it I had the same type of wood in my wife's tank with an Amazon puffer and all her fish were un affected. If you do not like it a bristle nose will get rid of it overnight. They love the stuff.

A couple quick questions is your water ph stable I.e. is it 8.2 from the tap? as adding water daily at a different ph causes it to fluctuate stressing fish. Does you tank have a background black or otherwise? Not having one in the past I have found stresses fish. But that is just personal experience...

Re: Fahaka eating algae

This looks like the long green hair algae that is in a couple of spots in his tank. Do you think hes just eating it when he targets his food a...
