Re: RTR's articles

Jeni,

Follow the link I posted above and you will find an archived copy of the old TPF board, including articles that were posted in the library at that time. RTR's F8 article is there.

Re: RTR's articles

No worries, just use the way-back machine to locate archived versions of TPF way back when the articles were still posted. It's also fun to see what the site used to look like long, long ago. Here's a link to the site from 10 Jun 2006. Follow the "Library" link and you'll find the F8 artic...

A few months is a bit too long IMHO. If you really want them and don't have a large enough tank to hold all of them today, you can purchase 25-30 gallon, food-safe plastic containers for a few bucks each and use them (with filtration and decor of course) to house some of the fish while you are waiti...

Maybe, but I'd lean toward the laws of supply and demand. LFS' (and WalMart) have been importing puffers for sale to the general masses. Most of them die quickly due to inexperienced fish keepers and the demand goes down as a result. No demand, no imports. In some ways I'm glad to see that they are ...

Sorry to hear about the loss. At the very least, test your water immediately to see if ammonia or nitrites are present. If so, it could be that the BIO-Spira was not fresh or it could have been a spike caused by the death of your fish. Hard to say at this point. Either way, the levels should drop wi...

While dark bellies can be a sign of stress or illness, some GSPs seem to have dark bellies for no apparent reason. My largest GSP had a dark belly most of the time when s/he was small while the belly on the smaller GSP was always snow white. They are now 4+ and 5+ inches and it's the other way aroun...

Unless you are on well water, you might want to check with the city to see if they made any changes to the water treatment process. Some locals reserve the right to switch from chlorine to chloramine w/o notice. Our city will often add chemicals to battle turbidity or other issues. I raised a batch ...
