Long term water storage
I have been considering creating a water storage container for water changes. I perform 5 gallon water changes every two weeks. The plan is to have enough water mixed to cover me for a year. 150 gallons will cover all scheduled changes and there would be enough to compensate for some unanticipated u...

Re: My puffer hate the power head
I have 2 hydor korillas running at 425 gph each in a 30 gallon tank with no issues. before I put in the hydors I had 1 maxi jet 1200 and one maxi jet 1200 clone also no issues. I'm not really sure why your fish is having issues, but I doubt it is from the powerheads as 2 maxi jet 1200's don't push t...

Re: GSP?
I think you should get what ever is cheapest and most abundant as you seem like you want to get a new one every year.

Re: GSP?
life span of a wolf in the wild is about 13 years, 16 if they are on an animal preserve. do you think a captive wolf would have a shorter life span?

Why would you come here and ask for advice if you are just going to argue with everyone that gives it to you?

Re: GSP?
If you had a dog that lived for 1 or 2 years, would you consider yourself a good dog owner? I have a GSP and a Yellow tail Damsel in a 29 going into a 45 next month, then I will put the 29 down as the sump. the two seem to get along well for the most part and the puffer leaves my ricordea alone. The...

They are amazing. From what I've read though they require spot feeding daily.

Re: Advice on setting up a marine tank. (no fish this time!)
Mine are loose. it can be a challenge to get them set up, but once you get the hang of it it's not too bad. I wouldn't glue them together because it would make maintenance tough. if you need to kill som aiptasia or pluck some pest algae I would imagine glued rocks would be a hassle. this is especial...

Re: New lights plus corals!
3%, i just pour it on and wait 5 min, then rinse with some tank water, then put it back in the tank. I try to avoid splashing it on places that don't have any GHA, but even a little over splash doesn't seem to have too much negative effect. after about 3 days the GHA disappears. the underlying coral...
