Re: New Fish, What Should I Do?
It is not either of those, I looked at the pictures. The pictus cat had long whiskers, this one doesn't, and the firewood catfish seemed to have more of a solid color with occasional spots. This ones spots are all connected in an almost wavy pattern (reminds me of an ocelot's spots) it also becomes ...

New Fish, What Should I Do?
For my birthday my boyfriend went and bought me 4 fish for my 20 gallon aquarium. I don't think he really thought about the fact that different fish need different needs or considered the fact that I had never dealt with these kinds of fish before. So now I need advice. He bought me 2 high fin tetra...

That's what I think too. And although I am sad about Zelda passing, I am happy for Link, there will be lots of room for him to grow and be happy.

Zelda Passed Away. :(
Hey everyone, I am sad to announce that Zelda passed away this morning. It was a great surprise to me because she was alert and happy yesterday. When I woke up she was swimming around slowly and seemed very weak. She was so weak that she couldn't swim away from the suction of the filter and got stuc...

Did My Snails Lay Fertile Eggs?
I have about 16 little snails I got about 4 days ago from Walmart. They are just your common little pond snail, used as food for my two gsp. I had just moved the snails and their dirty water into a bowl so I could clean out their tank and noticed little groupings of squishy clear spheres all seeming...

Re: Need Help With Aquarium Hood
Also, the filters are very loud and I was wondering if it would be ok to have them off at night or if that would be bad for my gsp.

Need Help With Aquarium Hood
I recently bought a new 55 gal aquarium with stand, two aquatech 30-60 gallon filters, aerator, heater, gravel and vacuum used for 75 dollars. The only thing not included was a hood. This tank was built so that two hoods are in place. I'm having trouble finding two hoods/one big hood. Can you guys h...

Re: Just got some GSP, joined to learn more. (:
Oh, and I gut loaded the ghost shrimp and put a couple in. Link and Zelda just peck at them and stare. They are obviously interested in the shrimp but aren't eating them. Should I put some smaller shrimp in their and scoop the larger ones out and see how that goes? Or leave the ones I have in there?

It really was Walmart. Not only did the fish person tell me that, but there was a little picture below the tank telling me about them being salt water fish.

Right now I have it at about 1.015 sg. Bad or good? When I got them they were in fresh water, but the people at Walmart did tell me they were salt water fish.
