None of my LFS clean the wood before selling. I'd leave it in a bucket of water for a couple days at the very least.

There's sand in there, he's just sitting on the uneven end of the tank. I haven't added much to the tank so I don't think he's too comfortable yet. Which is weird because I haven't seen him bury once.

He settled down as soon as it got dark. I just went out and found nice tree roots that I was hoping to use. I have to see if they'll even survive boiling.
