Hi I just added my 1st fish to my newly cycled marine tank (I had it cycling with mollies 3 months) The 1st lot came with a pair of 2.5" GSP, 1 Luna Lionfish and 1 False Clown Trigger . They have all settled in after a quick FW dip before putting them in. I have a doubt though: 1. Are GSPs mean...

after i took the molly out, i see the tummy is black again!? he'e eating fine.. but still hiding away from me when i get close to him i made im a cave type of home and he stayes there.. do u think he's missing the molly btw, just a confirmation: its supposed to be just ONE puffer per aquarium, right...

not too quickly... i think i reached from FW to 1.007 in 9 days,with a gap of 3 days between both the times i added mixed salt water.

did a 50% water change today... nitrites @ 0.5/ltr salinity = 1.009 (just a bit below) also made a new li'l home for the guy to hide and added a plastic plant... he's been swimming up and down the tank, what do i give him for his entertainment... food for one ;), but i guess he'seaten a ramhorn snai...

looks like he's a bit settled in now... he seems happy and a bit active... he's swimming up and down the 9" tank wall... Just one more question tho: 1. i observed that his tummy is kinda black. ...isnt it supposed to be white? is this some kinda signal? 2. are we supposed to keep jusy 1 single ...

thanx for the advice man, he seems a li'l active now... he's swimming up and down the side of the tank.. i thot we could keep puffers in small specimen tanks.... so i guess i'l hafta arrange him a bigger tank... i'l keep him here for a few months and then shift him once he's comfortable and healthy....

what should be the best suggested level of salinity for ceylon puffers...

and another thing, doesnt water change waste the expensive sea salt? is there any way to save this?

yep, i have a hydrometer. i also mixed 2 table spoons of sea salt in a bottle and poured it into the aquaria last night... it still show any change in gravity/salinity

how soon can i add more?
