Re: Fahaka? IP's

He isn't very big. Maybe 1" to 1.5". Think he will still go for them?

Re: Fahaka? IP's

Well he isn't as lumpy looking anymore, but he still looks pretty skinny. He is, however, exploring the tank more and constantly on the hunt for snails. He eats bloodworms like a fiend too. I just got some vita-chem to soak his food in before feeding. I'm thinking of getting some mussels from the gr...

I would have to build a custom stand in my house because of the doorway angels in my current home.

I might go back to the drawing board and keep searching.
You have Doorway Angels! how nice!

Re: F8 in full marine

Maybe that will give me something to do should I ever decide to try brackish again and eventually get into salt water

Re: F8 in full marine

I didn't take any pictures. I'm 90% sure it was an F8. If I go again this weekend I'll definitely snag some pics if it is still there

Welcome back I guess.

Was there a reason for your absence?

F8 in full marine

I didn't know where to put this since F8s are brackish and I'm pretty sure most everyone here agrees. Anyway I was at an LFS here in Dayton, and I always look at the marine puffers since they are so cool. I happened to come across an F8 in full marine conditions. Is this unusual to anyone but me? Th...

Re: Fahaka? IP's

They're good for a day or 2. Awesome. I ended up going home today. I'm only 45 minutes away, but I ended up going to a fish store and bought some pygmy cories and cherry shrimp for another tank of mine, so I fed him. He seemed to gobble these day old ones more so than the usual hour old ones I give...

Re: Concerned

Sounds like he had a big meal yesterday. I wouldn't be too concerned if he isn't eating today

Re: Concerned

Give him time to get settled in and he will start eating and quick glass surfing. He is probably really stressed right now with all the changes taking place let alone water conditions not being ideal. Also if your water comes out of the tap with ammonia readings I would suggest not doing as many wat...

Re: Fahaka? IP's

Success in getting some meds in him I believe. I soaked bloodworms in a super garlic and slight med concoction for about 50 minutes. I then preceded to feed said bloodworms to my tank. He ate three of them rather quickly, but after sitting for a bit, he spit on up and another one started to and he e...

Re: Fahaka? IP's

Today when I fed him some medicated bloodworms, he ate one and violently shook around and eventually it came out of his mouth but it look like half of it lost its red coloration. Do you think some medication may have got in his system?

Re: Fahaka? IP's

Bought me some dillies though he didn't seem interested. Need to find smaller ones. I noticed before I went to bed that his belly was rounder meaning I think he ate a snail that's crawling around in there

Re: Fahaka? IP's

Got the guy to eat some bloodworms today. No medication. Just trying to get him to eat at this point.
