Back and ready for saltwater :)
I have 2 90 gallons built into the wall and have decided to switch one over to saltwater. I am researching sumps, pumps etc. I would like to put the sump in the basement and run my one 90 gallon to start. I would like to have either a Valentini puffer or second choice would be a Blue spotted. WHat e...

Re: My experience with treating for IP- need advice
I accidentally bought the medicated fish food first. My puffers would not eat it at all.Picked up the fizz tabs and dissolved the fizz tabs in a bit of tank water and soaked pieces of frozen shrimp, a bit of crushed garlic. I soaked over night and they gobbled it up!

I have a canister filter and a HOB on it so it seems that they do swim in that. Maybe I will try to spy lol.

Re: South American puffers
Glass pacing, when should they settle? I have done the IP treatment and the high heat/salt method. They seem to pace the glass a lot. I did just do a 50% water change and moved stuff around as well as added some new plants. My smallest puff still paces quite a bit and doesn't seem to snail hunt as m...

Re: Ramshorn snails
I just got myself a huge crop of ramshorns. I put an add on kijiji (craiglist) and ask if anyone had any they would sell. A man had a large amount that were over running his aquariums gave me probably 100 for free. I have them set up in a 10 G now. There are already eggs everywhere!

Anyone in Canada have any luck?? They are doing great by the way :) I was back in the pest store and my puffers ...

Re: Starting treatment
That is my understanding. And not totally necessary to do water changes in the 10 days right, but after 10 days I can do 50% every day right? Just want to make sure I understand correctly :) It has praziquantel in it. The tigers barb ate them but no not the puffers. It says it may be used with exter...
