Re: One Green Spotted Poochface is huge compared to the other?
They are housed together and I am constantly watching them and they NEVER have an issue with eaother, no fighting at all, but they are still young, I'll have to wait and see when they get older. And when I feed them I watch to make sure they both get an equal ammount of food and they do, so one isn'...

Is my Brackish Tank set up Properly?
I'm new to brackish tanks and I just really wan to make sure everything is set up properly. I have a 33 gallon tank that is set at a SG 1.004 and has a 40-60gal hang-on-back filter on the right side, a heater set to 75F for the fish I have in it. I have a black sand substrate and a power head on the...

One Green Spotted Puffer is huge compared to the other?
I have 2 GSPs. The first one my mother picked out and he has more of a streme line body than a round belly. No sunk in belly look or anything. He still looks healthy and gets a nice round belly when he eats, but then it goes right back to streme line looking after a while. The other one I got had mo...

I am very experienced in FW tanks but new to brackish tanks. As of now my aquarium is SG 1.004. Do I need a skimmer? my tank is a 33gal and I ...

Re: What to Do about an Ammonia Spike?
It had been a fully cycled and established FW tank for probably close to 5 months before I started turning it brackish.

What to Do about an Ammonia Spike?
I have 2 small GSP and some mollies in a 33 gallon tank for now until they get bigger. I have a 70gallon for when they are bigger. Anyway, the puffers use to be freshwater and I have been slowly making it brackish. I think my latest water change (which I used a SG of 1.010 to bring the SG of the tan...

What is a good Specific Gravity for a Backish Tank?
So, I am new to brackish aquariums and I have 2 GSP and some mollies. I just did a water change and with that raised the SG to 1.004. My puffers are still young (and were in freshwater at the store). But what is a good SG for a brackish tank? I was thinking 1.010-1.012 what do you think? Of corse I ...

Re: Young Green Spotted Puffers won't eat snails! Help!
I will try the crushing technique before assuming the worst! Someone actually told me to not feed them for a week and then try giving snails but a week seems way too long to go for a young SGP.

Young Green Spotted Puffers won't eat snails! Help!
My two young GSP won't eat snails. I have had them for about a week and when I was finally able to get out to buy some (yesterday), I tossed them in and one puffers followed the snail (about the size of heir eye) to the bottom but then just ignored it. The other puffer didn't even look twice at it. ...
