did a 40% water change... still a little cloudy but will keep doing water changes daily until it clears up. If anyone has some advice on how to clear up cloudy water let me know please!

My tank is 36" long but it came with a lid that has a section that is 28" long that I think a light is supposed to sit in. I'm not sure exactly if it would be easier to buy a whole new hood and everything, or just find something that goes on the lid I have now...

Okay I finally figured out how to add pictures and went ahead and started an album.
Our water is a little cloudy right now so once it clears up I will be taking more pictures and adding them later.

Cool, we bought a few decorations today and will add more in the future as we get a more steady income. So far they look like they really enjoy the tank, and I am in the process of taking pictures and will post them soon.

Ok I thought of ONE more question.... Yesterday at the pet store the people there told me to take the carbon activated filters out of the filter while it is cycling. Is THAT good advise and if so how long do I leave them out for?

Ok I just realized that I need to look at the 2nd page. It doesn't automatically show it. SORRY I don't know how all this works yet. I really would feel more comfortable if I tested the water before putting the puffers in. So as soon as I get out of class this morning I plan on going and doing that....
