LOL I never claimed to be wise or anything of the sort and yes i bought a mbu and i had no clue it would get that big and i believed the LFS guy probably because i wanted to believe it. No your MBU is NOT ok in 187 gallon tank. You may think a 5 foot tank is big, but it is not. Your MBU will live a shortened life most likely deformed in some way and will never be able to become the majestic beast he is supposed to be. That is a travesty, it is animal abuse, and that is your fault....

@flutter I had this puffer for 2 days and i am absolutly in love with it he/her is not shy at all i come to the front of the tank and it comes and looks at me ..... its actualy weird cuz it seems to actuly see me perfectly other fishes seem to just react to movement or shadows but this little puffer...
