Wow, seems like you got the jerk of the tank. Any dwarfs I have had have been laid back and don't really care unless one of their kind swims on their section of gravel.

Most puffs aside from lurkers are pretty active, even some lurking species zip around the tank. The more 'active' the decore in the tank is the more active the puff. If the tank is boring the puffs get bored and don't explore as much. I end up changing decor around in my 33 planted because my irrubs...

Parasites usually latch onto the fish and are pretty visible unless internal. Bacterial infections will cause wasteing of flesh and fins. You know that there is a high probability of what ever puff your getting will peck off those guppies right? Mine havn't touched the endlers I have in one of my tanks, but still. :D
