Re: GSP Right or Left?

I kind of want to study my puffer and document which way he turns, too. I'm curious to see if there's a dominant side like how we have dominant sides.

Re: GSP Right or Left?

Mine is to lazy to curl up when he sleeps, so I am not any help. My guy just finds his nook in the rock and lays there .... maybe leans up against the rock but never curls. Does this mean he is not "comfortable" enough in his tank to really sleep well?? I doubt it. I've rarely ever seen m...

GSP Right or Left?

So I noticed sevenyearnight's photo and I started to wonder something. Do all GSP curl their tail to the right when sleeping? I've only ever seen mine curl up to the right, so I'm wondering if that's just a thing that GSP do.

Re: The new tank is READY!

I definitely foresee trying them out. On a side note, your porcupine puffer is SO adorable. I'd love to get one, but I don't have nearly enough space for a large aquarium in my apartment. Someday...

Re: The new tank is READY!

Re: The new tank is READY!

They were submerged at the store, but I imagine it was freshwater.

I guess that means I'll just wait until he's moved up to full marine to really work on other things. I do want him to be a little bit bigger before I do that though. Thanks for the warning about macro algae, too.

The new tank is READY!

After a few full water changes and some stress about odd "spiderweb floaters", the 29 gallon is finally ready. Surprisingly, he showed almost no stress moving from one tank to another. (But when I clean his aquarium, he freaks out. Go figure.) The live plants had to be removed. Despite wha...

Re: Spiderweb-like floaters

Well, it's currently not on a filtration system of any kind. I was just going to move my aquaclear 50 over to this aquarium with the water from the older 15 gallon aquarium. I wanted to use the filter that came with the 29 gallon aquarium, but I got a decent deal on everything I wasn't really that d...

Spiderweb-like floaters

So I just started setting up a 29 gallon aquarium for my GSP. The water in the aquarium is all bottled water and has not been treated yet, but I have added salt to the water. I also have aragonite substrate and a few live plants I'm trying out with the new aquarium. The water is cloudy, but maybe th...

Re: Transportation - GSP

The kitty litter bucket idea sounds really good, I don't have any cats so another Tupperware kind of container would be used. Thanks for the idea!

Re: OSAMA BIN LADEN IS DEAD

I think Obama has made some pretty sound choices. He's fought for stem cell research, he's mixing social and private healthcare (Everyone should be covered, you'll end up in the hospital at one time or another. You still have an option for a supplementary/complementary healthcare options, but we alr...

I'd have to agree with the prison and rape thing. Even that would seem like he's getting off lightly.

Disrespect for a business and a murderer of innocent lives. Yeah, I'd have no sympathy if this guy got locked up and treated like b-.

Re: Transportation - GSP

Well if my job search doesn't go too well, I'm thinking maybe going for my masters. And moving a puffer seems so much worse than dentistry. And I still haven't had to do that yet either. I can't avoid it forever though :? Moved him once, but it was just a few miles away. I had a friend hold him in o...
