Im confused what to feed my fahaka. I give him frozen muscle meat, frozen large prawns with outer on and live earth worms. What else can I feed him? He's around 6" growing well but is this enough to keep his teeth down?
Cheers

Re: Fahaka Diet-UK
Start up a snail breeder with either pond snails or ramshorn snails these will keep his teeth down.
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

Re: Fahaka Diet-UK
Clams, crawfish (you can breed these for him), crabs live from lfs, or crab legs (make sure un-cooked) are some other ideas for hard shelled food.

Re: Fahaka Diet-UK
I tried him on pond snails and ramshore snails but he wasn't interested(a few months ago). I will try him again. You can only buy electric blue crays in uk and they don't seem too easy to breed. Has any one had success in breeding signal crays in uk? Or any clams?
All the muscle meat and prawns I bought are Pre cooked is this ok? What crab legs are ok?
Cheers

Uncooked is better, try crushing a snail before putting it in so he learns it is food.

Ok cool so raw prawns are ok? I will try crushing the snail. What about garden snails?

That will do for his teeth. Mine love earthworms.
