F8 in a 10 gallon?

Dear RTR sir, with all due respect. I entirely understand the massive difference of what we see from the outside and what the fish could see from the inside could or would be entirely different. But though I have not tried it myself nor with the periscope, I still feel that they would see at least a faint reflection of themself from the glass. Especially when the background is darker or when the exterior light is dimmer than the tank. Similar to when we are walking in the mall, we would still see ourself against the shop glass.. Quite clearly at times..

Ok to settle this I will fill up one of my empty tanks on my kitchen floor and stick my head in. I will report my findings.

And, u would need to put up some kind of lighting in the tank cos the theory is that if the background is darker, it would have a mirror effect. Faint at least.

If you have the means to try it you should. A very weird experience, tried with lights on and off. My wife thought I had lost it lol. No reflection whatsoever. Rtr is once again correct and I have a wet head

That being said, science thrives off of doubt. Doubt or questioning leads to further experimentation and learning. The knowledge gained from that can help the validity of our knowledge or let us know that something isn't quite right. It only leads to improved knowledge about a subject and I think RTR would appreciate that (or at least gets a chuckle at bertie's experiment ).
