Pufferfish books
Hello,
I am looking to purchase a pufferfish book. I have only found two options, the Aqualog and the Practical Fish Keeping books. Does anyone own these? Are they any good? Which one is better? I am mostly interested in ecology, behavior, and evolution - not so much husbandry.
Thanks!

Re: Pufferfish books
If most of the information is in your puffer pedia, then I guess there isn't much point in buying it. As I said, I am more interested in ecology and behavior rather than husbandry, so if the book provides more of that information that it may be worth buying. That is what I am trying to figure out. Anyone with the book, could you comment on this issue? I don't want to spend $55 on a book that contains mostly husbandry information that I can find on the internet.

There is another puffer book out there called "Beginners Guide to Keeping Freshwater Puffers". Dont own any puffer books because I have the internet but I would like to buy them for myself, just to collect.

I have not seen "Beginner's guide..." It is available for the Kindle - I'll have to try it out. The preview look very basic, but that is not a bad thing.

I absolutely do.
Found them for $36 at the fish swap I just left.
Although any information you ever wanted to know about puffers can be found right here!

Re: Pufferfish books
I have looked through your pufferpedia. It certainly is full of information, but not necessarily the type I am looking for currently. I am more interested in comparative ecology, behavior, and evolutionary relationships. In your opinion, does the Aqualog book contain this type of information, or is it mostly husbandry?

And for a price anyone can afford. I think I will have to buy one for that price also.
