Hey guys! I've been busy with my fishies lately... hehe.

Look at this! It's mine! Can you believe it? It isn't grown in much yet, it's only 3ish months old.

It is a cool tank. The neons really look at home in there. Btw, what is your avatar? Noticed it was anime and had to ask because Im a big fan of anime, myself.

It has 4 cardinal tetras right now (from 6) and I plan on getting another 16 soon. Eventually some SSS grade crs too.

I'm working on setting up a rimless 10 gallon DP tank which will also be high-tech with EI dosing.

Cardinal tetras, not neon tetras. Sorry my bad. I could not see the full long red bottom half of them. One of them looked more like a neon from the light colored belly..lol

I always wanted to have a huge school of cardinal tetras. I think they are extremely beautiful and in large groups, even more.

They are stunning! They're so expensive though, and finicky.

Mine are just starting to be less shy now, after a month and a half.

I found someone on The Planted Tank.com selling them for $2 each! Not bad, but they have to be shipped. So I'm thinking maybe 25 incase of some dieoff?

EDIT: Oh and I ordered some Limnophila aromatica and L. aromatica "mini" today. Yay! That will add some nice color! (they are purplish red)

I seen some healthy looking cardinal tetras at my nearest PetSmart. That is where I will probley buy some if I dicide buying any again. Yes, I once owned some and I will agree that they are kinda hard to please plus they are a little pricey for a little tetra.

Mmm, next weekend I'm going to the LFS (/PetSmart if I need to)

I'm debating over the following:

6 more cardinals (very risky, they die easily)
6 - 12 Rummynose (pretty! Great schooling behavior but they are kinda long/ big)
6 - 12 Harlequin Rasboras (I find them absolutely ugly, but their schooling behavior is top notch)
Or!!! 3-5 DP's (you'll probably pick these, this is The PUFFER Forum afterall.

I am actually really thinking about getting DP's, but will they be able to handle co2? I keep it high, but I've also got great surface movement. So far the fish don't mind at all, but I'm just worried of puffers might be a little more sensitive to it. Watch'ya think?

The high co2 and the great surface movement will contradict each other... Will be a great waste of co2.

Mmm. By great I mean the surface is gently rippled (the surface is not broken) and by lots of CO2 I mean I use very little CO2 but my inline diffuser diffuses it very well and efficiently.

The picture was taken before the CO2 was even turned on, so the drop checker is dark green. It is lime green and at times becomes a tad yellow.

It's not stagnant, but it's also not a rapids The balance is there.

Heheh, sorry if I came off rude. Sometimes I find it hard to explain myself properly so I just go on and on and on until hopefully you get the point!

It looks so much better right now. 3 new species of plants: Limnophila aromatica, Rotala sp. 'Singapore' and Rotala sp. 'Colorata.' Limnophila is pinkish with purple undersides (very pretty!) Rotala sp. 'Singapore' is a very light pink, and Rotala sp. 'Colorata' is orangeish. It adds alot more life to the tank! The Rotala sp. 'Green' is filling in nicely too, along with the HC. I will post an FTS soon!
