Humback Puffer

I am thinking about setting up 80liter(21g) or 100liters. Do you recommend arrowhead or humpback? or maybe something different? I just don't want to go brackish again

Theres been a humpback on ebay for about 6 months now im shocked nobody has bought him. They look great the arrowhead is a great fish to.
Looking at that artical it says they grow 8 inches so 21 gallons will be to small, my arrowhead is about 5 inches, i have him in a 25 uk Imperial gallon tank with about 4 gallons cut of with a divider for some snails at the moment. I think 20 - 25 gallon would be the min for the suvattii with a decent filter even though he will probley pick a corner he likes and stays around there.

Thank you, i'll defenetly put up bigger tank when he will grows larger. But i am wondering, I use to have gsp puffers for 2 years and the were always on the move. looking for something to eat or just swim around and look but what I've been reading is that both palembangensis and suvattii are both really inactive, stay on the same spot until feeding. is that true?
and if it is what should i search for instead?

40g recommended for the humpback.

I don't know about the humpback puffer but the suvattii is very inactive as im sure you have read through reserching the puffers your intrested in. Mine stays in one corner of the tank 99% of the time ( i think he thinks it's a good food spot) lol. They can lay in the same spot for days then after eating return. I like this.

Like pp said 40 us gallon for humpback or 30 us gallon for arrowhead.

Dwarf puffers are nice freshwater puffers and you could have a couple.

I believe they are not burrowers, they like to hang out in caves.

one quick more. Is the hairy puffer(Tetraodon baileyi) more active than arrow and humback? and can he share tank with other hairy?

No hairy will also hide. They are pretty aggressive and should not be kept with anything alive.

None of the lurkers are active, unless hungry. if you want an active, interactive fish, the lurkers are not for you.
