30 approx, i have never used these api 5 in one strips before. Im waiting for a new marster kit. The water in my area has got even harder aswell by these. These are the strips not the liquid kits.

Strips can be terribly unreliable
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

i dont trust the test strips. what is strange is that my lfs uses them, but petco uses the liquid test kit to test water!

The strip said these readings but like you said bertie they could be out. In a day or two i can test proppely. Is the hardness any danger or the no3?

GH - 160
KH - 30
PH - 7.5
No2 - 0
No3 - 40

Do you have any spring water to test? Or any pure (not tap) water?

Check against that. Nitrate should definitely be 0 there.
