Out with the old in with the new !!!

Finally got around to giving lillys tank a bit of a overhaul , so its out with the silver sand and in with black micro gravel , donated a piece of bog wood with anubias from one the other tanks and bartered on a nice new big piece from a lfs , so have taken a few anubias cuttings and zip tied em' on till they take up root and attach themselves , still very much a work in progress ...need a lot more plants to go in ....... Well lilly seems happy with the make over so far , although she didn't at first like me taking her sand out ! , Oh and shes got a new temporary tank mate , the gold barb i plonked in there was just to see if colours change with a darker substrate , although im pleased to say colours are looking more vibrant and tottally awesome . The barb will be coming out as soon as i can catch the little b*gger ! , or if lilly gets it first ! lol

I've always liked black substrate because its a good contrast for light colored fish.

Thankyou its actually black micro gravel and the backgound is just a normal one not 3D , although yep it does kinda look 3D in pic ....Do want a 3D background ...come on Bertie83 wheres this step by step guide/tutorial on making a 3D background ? , you promised us all

yep thats the full size one , about 70cm or so ........picked up a bargain .....less than half price brand new ! , happy days !
My fahaka like to sleep inside it at night .......although give it a few months and i reckon she'll be to fat to fit through the holes ! lol

love the fahaka! such a ham! that background does look really good on there and the heli is awesome too. i have never seen one. man i cant wait to get one eventually
