Flattened the hill that my goby took all week to build today. He's been staring at me with his mouth wide open for about an hour now. I think he's miffed.

Haha El

I just noticed that my marineland canister that was an extra filter on my 120 stopped working at some point, it was still running just not sucking in any water. Dont know how long its been down, hope I didnt burn it up. I had planned to move it to a 20Long after I move

Scorpio I can just SEE that ticked-off goby staring at you haha. So cute.

I did the weekly 50% on Merck's tank. Each time I raise the salinity, he gets soooooo excited, his color EXPLODES into neon-happiness, and he tries to swim up the siphon! He's getting chubby :P I stole a bunch of his BGA from the sand and moved things around... Over halfway to marine1

Last WC I learned to make SURE to finish arranging decor and hides before I add the final 4 gal or so--he tries so hard to jump out when I'm lowering in his pottery, and he almost made it last time! I was ready for it, now, though! 8)
ask: is this suffering necessary or unnecessary?

Adding a big, fat, sea hare to my reef tank, in hopes it will eat the macro algae forest.

What kind of Marineland canister filter is it, Magnum or one of the C-series. I have a magnum 350 that does the same thing and still cant figure what happened to it and love the looks and the no bypass baskets of the c series so thats why I asked.

Btw, did not do anything to the tanks today.

Oh, yeah never owned one. I have seen the C-series and love the way the look and they way they are set-up. The Marineland C-530 is a monster of a canister with alot of filter room like 4 baskets that you can add just about anything to them. Even comes with all the media plus hollowed ceramic rings, bio-balls, bags of carbon, and filter pads. The 2 sponges and the biological media is a huge plus compare to the magnum series. I would buy a Marineland C530 in a heartbeat if it wasnt because of the money problems. That would be I would be doing for my tank today, buying a Marineland C-series canister.

Btw, I did buy one of those SUN SUN canister filters off of ebay and love it. Its set-up and love awhole lot like the marineland c series but half the price.

In my Jack Dempsey tank, I covered the filter intakes with mesh to keep the newest batch of fry from getting sucked up.

Cleaned up a lil bit of algae, and watched my sleeper goby begin re-construction of the huge hill that I flattened yesterday. I dunno. Maybe I should just let him have it.

Big WC & clean up of 2 of my reef tanks. One of them had a bunch of crazy red turf algae I always have ti pock out by hand. Mex turbos eat it but my big Peacock mantis eats the snails. The other reef has a cyano problem, so I'm sucking all of it out & treating with Red Slime Remover. Cleaned all the pumps, including impellers.
