37g w/ dwarf lion. Tankmates?

I'm just looking to add a little more color/livliness to my tank. My dfl has been happy and healthy since I put him in there. He has 2 dwarf hermits and 4 nessarius snails in with him as well. Are there any other fish I can keep in that tank with him. I don't want it to be too crowded. I'm open to almost anything thats not extremely difficult to take care of. I saw that chuckfriedrice has a snowflake eel and dwarf lion in a 29g. I wouldn't be opposed to this, but I don't know much about eels.

sorry to bump this up, still looking for appropriate tank mates.

LFS suggested maybe a blue spotted watchman goby. They have a few that I think would be big enough to avoid getting eaten.

I've also thought about a second dwarf lion, I know the tank is tight but I've heard of people keeping two in similar sized tanks successfully, since I hear species tanks are the cat's pajamas. Could it be done while keeping their lives happy and healthy?

any opinions? suggestions? comments, criticism, philosophical rebuttals?

Anything that wont be too small like gobies, small clowns, firefish, damsels, and such. Some larger colorfull hawkfishes would be ok but none that get too big for the tank though.

so blue spotted watchman goby is too small? i want to say the ones at the shop were like 3-4 inches, seemed to big to get eaten, plus they hang out at the bottom under rocks and stuff. But I don't want to underestimate my lion, he's the boss of the tank.

Any gobies would end up in a lion mouth. Lions will hang over a rock and wait for the goby to pop out. Never trust a lion, believe me...lol

I wouldn't put anything smaller than him in there.

Here is an awesome hawkfish that would be perfect with your lion. Just besure it is bigger then your lion though.

Oh and a Tomato Clown that is bigger then you dwarf lion would do but just keep an eye out for the aggression.

Heard those long snout hawkfish controls certain pest in tanks. Never owned one but seen them in all kinds of reef tanks.

Oh and make sure it is bigger the your dwarf lion before adding one to the tank, if you decide gettin one. And they are not an expensive SW fish either.

i guess that long nose is a pretty neat fish. I'm not sure how I would go about making sure I get a big one right off the bat. I'd have to have the LFS order it in for me, and I'm not sure if he has a choice as to how big they come.

Is another dwarf lion completely out of the question? Maybe a female? I'm pretty sure mine is a male.

And I'm not sure how much weight the live aquaria compatibility chart holds, but that says lions and hawk fish are definitely not compatible.

Another dwarf will be ok. Lions dont fight like most fish do. They just tend to push each other out of the way..lol. I have had afew lions in the same tank together with no problems at all. And I have no idea how to tell male or females apart though.

from what I've read, the males have bigger heads and more stripes. I'm like 90% sure mine is a male.

my main concern with having 2 is space, but it doesn't seem like it should be very crowded at all. I'll have to stop by the lfs tomorrow and see if he can order me a female, or just order in a few of them and hope one is a female.
