That just might be grounds for divorce here. I am allowed sealed space in a designated part of the freezer for well-labeled containers.

I have more food for my fish in my fridge, than humans.

It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

Re: do ramshorn snails need to be acclimatised?
I considered replacing the bar 'fridge when the old one died, but it did dump a lot of heat into the area and I decided to try floor level room temp for the live Californiablackworm and see how that went. I had to reduce the quantity per blue box, but I have plenty of those so it was okay. I don't do much breeding during the winter, so I do not need large stocks of live foods then. I give the breeders and myself a rest.

Robert, Do you order from Californiablackworm? I'll probably need to do that after my move to SC. How much do you order & what does it cost you?

Re: do ramshorn snails need to be acclimatised?
No, I don't. My LFS (really a LPS (local pet store, as they do birds and herps as well) handles multiple live foods including weekly deliveries from Californiablackworms, and rarely run out. I get only about a 2 weeks supply at a time to save myself low room temperature storage w/o refrigeration. That requires lower stock per box and more/better rinsing of the blue boxes If there is an issue w/the weeklly delivery, the owner gives me advance warning or drops some off for me before stock gets low. Yes, I am spoiled.
I don't use nearly as many as you do. Most of mine go to the breeder DNRs and Tang Cichlids and the nearly sale-size fry of those. That is primarily spring to fall only, winter is normally a lull in breeding so I can have empty grow-out tanks in spring for re-do and a break during the higher outdoor and deck planting/re-do season.
