I am not a fan of Dr. Axelrod's books. Yhe pisture quality is generally pretty high. The text leaves a lot to be desired.

So, do you recommend me acquire it? or should i look for some Dr. Ebert's book, i´ve heard that some titles from his authorship are quite good...

I do not suggest Dr. A's books.

Dr. Ebert's book is strictly puffers, but has good info.

The only FW books I use myself as general reference are the Baensch Aquarium Atlas series.

LOL, I wrote the puffer fish profiles for the TFH book: Encyclopedia of Exotic Freshwater Fishes.

The book PP mentions is not, repeat, not by Dr Axelrod and is not the one mentioned originally in this thread.

I have not reviewed the volume she contributed to, but I would still suggest Baensch as being superior to just about anything else available - but not adequate on puffers.

Axelrod (the son) did participate in the book.

I don't know enough about the son's qualifications and work to comment. I know too much about the father's work to comment.
