I vote for the dp's I don't think the co2 would bother them (you could always add an a air stone) plus it would be fun to watch them explore around the tank as the plants grow in.

My DPs are doing just fine in a CO2, ferts, and Excel tank. I've only had them for a week, but I'm not seeing anything negative.

The only thing that concerns me about your tank is the style of your planting. It doesn't allow for any breakage of lines of sight, which you'll need if you want to keep multiples of DPs.

You will need to get some tall and bushy plants in there for DPs.

Ya you'd want more sight lines broken. You could probably just do that with a root and some plastic floating plants though while your plants are growing out.

Great news! I got pictures!! I didn't even have to borrow my friend's camera, this is my mom's super cheap and old digital one. The secret is: "Place it on a table so your shakey hands don't botch up the pictures!"

Next time I'll play around with the setting more. I left it on 'Automatic.' It worked very well on the far away picture, but for the closer ones, not so much. I'll see what 'Close-Up' and 'Landscape' settings do next time! (prolly this weekend or next week sometime)

Mmm, I don't know then if I want DP's. This tank is: "Plants first, fish second!" In a way that I will get fish according to what the plants allow. Obviously they'll allow any type of schooling fish but for something that needs tall, bushy plants, eeh no, they're not changing. a

It looks great!

My DP tank went the other way around. I started planting the thing for their happiness, and that's what got me hooked on the plants!

It would look amazing with some chili or strawberry rasboras schooling around in there! Their reds would complement the greenery very well.

Thanks.

Funny! I was looking into getting 25 or so Chili's a couple weeks ago. I would too, totally, but shipping is so expensive! Ugh, I'm still wanting them. Red would look good against the green.

I'm very much torn between getting 25 chili's (for $80)
