BREEDING SNAILS AND RIVERSHRIMP

Post by Arny »

Hey Guys

I have a 3ft tank which I'm gona breed snails in, I also want to put my Live Rivershrimp in the same tank to hopfully breed.

Will the Rivershrimp eat the snails eggs?

Should I get a tank divider?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure they'll eat the eggs.

I agree with PP(not a shock there) the shrimp will most likely eat the snail eggs. It would have to be a solid divider to keep the snails to one side.

IME, attempts to culture multiple food items together tend to end up with basically one item dominating. It can work OK short-term, but long-term one or the other critter dominates.

I agree 100%. I tried keeping ramshorns with giant rams... the giant rams got overrun.
