My GSP puffed

Post by The Fisherman »

I'm so happy

I was just sitting at my computer with my guitar, and I happend to be watching Mickey, my 1" GSP, and he puffed up! I'm sure it was just a practice puff, but I was excited, I've never seen one of my own puffers puff up before.

I wish I had a picture. Maybe I'll catch him next time.

He got to the size of a golf ball.

I just thought I'd share that

Cool, My Mbu puffed yeterday fully for the first time too. I actually nearly killed the cat as I lunged for the camera to take a pick

I had never seen him properly before I only even see him deflating himself, I didn't think he had spikes but they all popped out. I don't know why he done it and I annoyed I missed the pic too

Yeah I was surprised the first time my GSP puffed up to see the size of his spikes! He has puffed up a few times when Ive been around, usually when he can't pull something he wants off of the Live Rock...I think he gets frustrated. I based my student film from school on that idea!

Hehe, cool story JustinPSmith, when I saw my GSP puff, it was really early in the morning. Maybe he was just waking up.

Hehe, I saw a new Valentini puffer at my LFS puff up when I walked up to the tank. Then he deflated and went behind a rock. Pretty cool to watch.

I've heard of puffers puffing up when someone played Rammstein.

I didn't try it when Bubbles was around.

i have 2 gsp, and the smaller one about every other morning when i turn on the lights. he'd do a stomach puff, looks like its hiccuping and stuff. first time i saw it i thought he was ill. but it doesn't ever puff up, so always sit there and watch them every morning, and i have no camera but for my phone and i thought i was gonna catch the little one doing it again but the bigger one(2-2.5) did it fully puff and i got a blurry pic because i was too excited .it did that them swam around but i couldn't save the pic and have the cam load soon enough to take another one but he deflated and swam in a circle then i threw in some blood worms . its pretty cool. i wanna see the little one go full size puffed one day,
