My new puff!
He's a real beauty!!!!
The instant my wife saw him she agreed that he had to come home with us!!! We were setting up at a new 90g salt (with overflow and 20g sump)and we were actually trying to think of what to put in. This is the first time we've had a tank without knowing immediately what we would put in it and we are very happy we took our time deciding.
He's about 12 inches long and eats like a horse. Its his first day and he ate a good sized crayfish and two shrimp and his belly is barely bulging. He started attacking hermit crabs after about an hour and kept it up until the food arrived.
We dont have a name for him yet, although at the LFS they called him "Big Daddy". He's an Arothron Hispidus (aka Milk Spotted Puffer) and he's the best looking puffer we've had yet. SW rocks!
He's very socialable and was being kept with a few Wrasses and some soldier fish, so a tank mate or two is probably in his future. The tank is kind of sparse right now but I'll be getting some live rock this week to seed the base rock thats in the image.

The background is a light blue, metallic, textured background that I found at http://www.aquariumguys.com , they have a couple of them in different colors that all look pretty cool.
Currently in the 90, but in Feb/March of next year we are getting a 120/125/150 and are going to get rid of all of our small tanks in favor of just two signature tanks. He'll go in the big one and the 90 we'll make into a FW planted tank.

I like the first pic, look at that beak!
That tank looks absolutely massive... and you have to get him one ever larger... I'm glad I have Figure eights!
