Mister Valentine

Post by GSP32 »

I only got him today so it may be too early to post pics but oh well

Everyone seemed to have eaten but him tonight, I asked the shop what he was eating and just waiting for a response. I tried garlic and vitamin soaked brine shrimp, I'll try pieces of soaked seafood tomorrow. He might still be shelled shocked from the trip :)

It will take a few days for him to settle, don't fret about him not eating. Mine was picking at the rocks for a few days before taking what I offered
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

He seems to be nice and fat and he had some poop out of him in the bag so I'm assuming he was fed pretty recently, man they do weird stuff like hang out in the corner of the tank facing up like my lionfish used to do, weird.... I'm used to my Fahaka and the GSPs.... they just float around hehe

He's moving around a lot more, investigating, he's chomping on the rocks like a champ and nibbling on my macroalgae... I hope that stops... I thought that they ate meat... he's also very interested in my crabs that might just be too big for him but who knows haha. Hopefully he'll get interested in the frozen seafood soon... didn't know that they ate macro, weird looking guy anyways :)

Very nice tail and colors! I wouldn't get too attached to the algae... Lila ate all the algae I tried to grow in there... ._. Waste of money. Now I know to put algae in Rogers tank

Yes, they do love their greens & should be fed them regularly.

I only have a few zoas, a couple of mushrooms, and a few big soft corals plus the macro.... I know he's nor reef safe but I really don't have much in there for corals anyways. He started eating the frozen shrimp now and I haven't seen him nibble on the macros again but I'll just grow them in my sump and replace it if I have to. And I have no idea what the red stuff is called but it is a pretty color :) he mostly swims around and looks at stuff hehe silly blimp
