Tried him again with a big cocktail over the last few days, nibbles cockles but not keen, won't touch prawns or crayfish tails, but he loves Muscles! I think he's now verging on the almost chunky size :)

But only getting worms and muscles down him, however I'm very pleased with progress.

I sneak in stuff into my puffers food. When feeding clams I can make a small incision in the stomach area and stuff it with a couple of Hikari sinking carnivore pellets. Some will fall out but usually he ends up eating a couple. with the worms you could also make sure they are gut loaded with veggi matter before feeding. Not a big help with the teeth but at least you can get some different nutrients in him.

I like that idea, could manage that with the muscles I reckon.

Really not sure what size/age I need to start worrying about his teeth and getting shells down him though, and my GSPs

You need to worry about his teeth, always! I just fed Filbert about 100 snails I got at the fish swap.

Hello Cubafugu. Welcome to the puffer forum. Please read through the articles in the puffer library. But on reading this thread alone it is clear that everything else aside the tank require to house 3. 12"+ fish would be astronomical.

3 fahakas in 1 tank = 3 dead fahakas.

@Pufferpunk, what do you think of his size/weight now, he's a little full after just finishing a muscle but looks so much healthier and better coloured, but I think he's tending towards the chubby side now:) Although still less than my GSPs but he was so skinny before.

About an hour after, he's got a lumpy belly immediately after, then it smooths then it gradually goes down until the next day.

Fair enough, I've just checked and it was over 3 hours ago I fed him, days flying past, so he wouldn't be far off I guess.
